William Blake poems
The comparison always emphasises the differences and makes the main idea stands out. In the poems, William Blake made one poem innocent and the other one experienced. He tried to make a distinctive contradiction between two poems. In the innocent one, he mentions Jesus, angle and heaven several times which shows the admiration to Christian. Also, he showed how glorious the world is by picturing beautiful children scene. They are beautiful and passionate. The poem describes a harmonious society. On the other hand, the experienced poems also revealed the truth that society did harm to young children. For instance, the boy was forced to sing the notes of the woe. So basically, he was trying to say the the world is good whereas the society also harmed the children. Children suffer poverty and starving. He wants to convince people that the world with is peaceful. The government is good and doe not harm the people such as the flowers of the country which are children. In the experienced version of Holy Thursday, the repetition of three "ands" has a strong attitude shown of William Blake which he desire to have a better world which there is no poverty and children can have a improved life.
